The high cost of real estate has made it difficult for young families to get on the property ladder. The rise of multi-generational living is increasing to meet this demand. Having previously designed spaces in this 5-bedroom home, DNI returned with a design plan to help the family transition to multi-generational living. With the primary bedroom on the ground floor, each family member has their own privacy. The client still loved the DNI living and dining room design from 2015 so the team focused on revitalizing the family room with newly re-upholstered furniture, new lighting and a fresh new paint colour. Macrame cafés curtains were added alongside Egyptian cotton side panels and a Roman valance for an elegant touch.
